This early animation of mine is based on Desi, the wonderful cat I lived with in 1998. Fantastic score by Nik Phelps and the Sprocket Ensemble. You can see the light leak from the Krasnogorsk camera I used, which made me cry when I got the 16mm film back, but Nik's score made it not matter.nn1998 was the year I started animating, and I was very experimental. These old films only remain on VHS tape, hence the poor quality.

Shot with an open top vehicle, complicated 'desi' camera rigging with a gimbal and so on. We're so glad we pulled off the shoot in 2 days. There were a few glitches mainly because of the light leak. And, we couldn't afford more takes. Actual sequence was 5.35 min long, it was re-timed to 3.16 min in the edit. The post took a LOT of time than what we anticipated. No way we could match move the whole")
