Description: Thirteen Cabrini College students went to the U.S. Capitol Friday, May 1, 2009, to lobby on behalf of the 1 billion people in the world who suffer from chronic hunger. nnThe students lobbied in support of the Casey-Lugar bill, S. 384, the Global Food Security Bill, but also proposed a significant amendment to the bill to make it more effective. nnThe students met with aides of Senator Arlen Specter, Senator Robert Casey, and Senator Robert Menendez.nnThe students, all enrolled in a course called
