Description: Many African artists continue to weave beautiful textiles. With some exceptions African men weave on narrow band horizontal looms, while African women weave on broad vertical looms. This video shows the techniques of both types of looms, and explains the different parts of the loom and how the patterns are made. There is video of Fulani and Mossi weavers in Burkina Faso, Asante and Ewe weavers in Ghana, and Igbo weavers in Nigeria.
