Description: The Joker, first free-climbed in the fall of 2012 by Jean-Pierre Ouellet, is an overhanging finger crack which bisects a north-facing buttress of Entrada sandstone on a toe of the aptly named Big Mesa, just southwest of Merrimack and Monitor Mesas, off Highway 313, northeast of the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park, Utah. The stone is soft and sandy, but the jagged crack provides some of the most enjoyable climbing around.
