With this state-of-the-art technology, the new Avenger e-Hybrid delivers an exceptionally smooth driving experience, enabling fortunate journalists to embrace electric mobility at lower speeds. This is made possible through the integration of the automatic 6-speed e-DCS6 dual-clutch transmission with its integrated electric engine.<br/><br/>The route retraces the double soul of the Avenger: at ease both on road and offroad. On the one hand, the on-road route allows the driver to try the hybrid features (energy recovery & electric drive at low speed) and the tech features such as L2 assisted driving. <br/><br/>The new Avenger e-Hybrid has been designed to be the first entry point into electrification. It employs a powertrain based on a lightweight 48V Hybrid system capable of delivering a nearly complete hybrid experience. A 100hp internal combustion engine coupled with a 21kw electric motor is then integrated into a double-clutch 6-speed automatic transmission and a 48V Belt Starter for a smooth transition to the electric drive that also produces further CO2 savings. The 0.9 kWh lithium-ion battery is located under the driver's seat, with no impact on the interior space, which remains the same as that of the Avenger petrol.<br/>The entire 48V hybrid system weighs only 60 kg more than a conventional automatic transmission. This keeps the total weight of the new Avenger e-Hybrid to just 1280 kg.

When Lamborghini first introduced the Urus SUV, critics and pundits were skeptical. It was seen more as a trend than a legitimate performance car. Little did they know how popular this sporty, compact V8-powered SUV with 657 hp would prove: After just six years, in 2023 it accounted for 60% of Lamborghini’s sales, selling more than 6,000 units.<br/><br/>Last week, Lamborghini introduced a redesign of the Urus that’s intended to continue the trend. The redesigned Urus is designated “SE:” “S” indicates the S trim of the SUV and “E” designates the addition of a plug-in electric power train. The idea behind this technology is to boost the performance of the gas engine with a jolt of electricity.<br/><br/>The Urus SE plug-in hybrid electric adds a 25.9 kWh electric system to the V8 engine of the S model, taking the SUV’s horsepower from 657 to 789. With the all-new Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology, the brand with the three-pointed star presents the first fully electric variant of its off-road icon. It symbolises the fusion of tradition and progress like no other. The all-new electric G-Class remains true to the model’s character, retaining its angular silhouette including all iconic elements. With its usable capacity of 116 kWh, it provides sufficient energy for ranges of up to 473 kilometres according to WLTP.<br/>The four individually controlled electric motors located near the wheels develop a maximum total output of 432 kW. Together with the selectable LOW RANGE off-road gear reduction, they enable unique driving characteristics and exclusive functions. This allows G-TURN to turn the vehicle almost on the spot on loose or unpaved surfaces. The G-STEERING function can deliver a significantly smaller turning circle when driving off-road. The three-speed intelligent off-road crawl function is like cruise control for off-roading – maintaining optimum propulsion while the driver focuses on navigating the terrain.<br/>Like the tried-and-tested variants, the all-new Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology has a gradeability of up to 100% on suitable surfaces. The vehicle remains stable on sideways slopes of up to 35 degrees. With a maximum fording depth of 850 millimetres, the electric G‑Class outperforms its conventionally powered counterparts by 150 millimetres. The LOW RANGE off-road gearing increases propulsion with a special reduction ratio. The all-new model generates the function of conventional differential locks virtually using intelligent torque vectoring. G-ROAR brings a unique sound experience to the all-new electric G-Class. In addition to a characteristic, G-Class-specific driving sound, it includes one “aura” sound and a variety of “event” sounds.

A 25.9-kWh lithium-ion battery is situated below the load floor and above the electronically-controlled rear differential.<br/><br/>The permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor located inside the 8-speed automatic transmission can act as a boost for the V8 combustion engine but also as a traction element, making the Urus SE a 100% electric 4WD vehicle capable of traveling more than 60 km in EV mode.<br/><br/>Debuting on the Urus SE is the new centrally-located longitudinal electric torque vectoring system with an electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch, which distributes driving torque variably and continuously between the front and rear axles. The transfer case works in synergy with the new electronic limited-slip differential installed on the rear axle, giving the vehicle “on demand” oversteering to convey the feel of a purebred super sports car.
